Full Job Description

The School are looking for a caring and patient Lunchtime Supervisor to join their supportive team. In this role, you will ensure a safe, enjoyable, and structured lunchtime for the pupils. You will play an essential part in their daily routine, fostering positive interactions and supporting their social and emotional development. This is a long-term role. Monday to Friday and the hours will be from 11.30am-1.30pm. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising students during lunchtime, both in the dining area and during outdoor/indoor play.
  • Supporting pupils with eating and encouraging positive mealtime behaviours.
  • Engaging children in safe and enjoyable activities during playtime.
  • Assisting with personal care if required, including toileting and hygiene needs.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils, following safeguarding and health & safety policies.
  • Promoting an inclusive, respectful, and calm environment tailored to the needs of each child., Full training tailored to the needs of the role.

  • Kind, patient, and compassionate, with a genuine passion for working with children with additional needs.
  • Able to remain calm and composed in a busy environment.
  • A strong communicator with excellent teamwork skills.
  • Experienced in working with children with Autism or complex needs (preferred, but not essential).
  • Willing to undertake relevant training, including safeguarding and first aid.
