Urgently seeking experienced SEN teachers or TAs with excellent written and spoken English. Applicants must be based in London or Surrey and have good availability for in-person tutoring (minimum 12 hours per week) - preferably including daytime availability. About Bright Heart is an award-winning London-based tuition agency - we won the Tuition Business of the Year award in the 2022 National Tutoring Awards. We are also an accredited National Tutoring Programme (NTP) Tuition Partner. We offer a more nurturing approach and help students with special educational needs (SEN) and those lacking confidence or motivation. Our heart-based approach - the 'Bright Heart Approach' - involves meeting the whole person from their unique perspective with warmth to build trust, self-esteem and self-belief, before building on academic abilities. The role Bright Heart Education's tuition agency (an employment business) is seeking experienced SEN teachers or TAs with excellent written and spoken English. Applicants must be based in London or Surrey and have good availability for in-person tutoring (minimum 12 hours per week) - preferably including daytime availability. Students typically receive tuition in their homes (one-to-one) with a parent or guardian present or at school through the NTP (small groups up to 1:6). Successful candidates will be provided with further information and guidelines on the Bright Heart Approach and relevant training for working with SEN students. - Ability to provide engaging and informative lessons that motivate students
- Ability to create bespoke lessons according to the student's needs

- Surrey (Epsom & Ewell) Benefits of the role You will be working as a self-employed, part-time tutor, so you will be free to choose which clients/students you wish to provide tuition to. Based on client demand, we are ideally looking for tutors who are looking to tutor at least 12 hours per week (and have good opportunities for those wishing to tutor many hours each week). Bright Heart provides its tutors with opportunities for professional development. In addition, Bright Heart offers the right candidate:
- A £5 per journey travel contribution (in addition to the advertised pay rate)
- A respectful working environment for tutors
- On-going training and support from experienced education professionals
- Access to comprehensive CPD and upskilling opportunities through TES Develop
- Tutor of the Month award (prize of £150) selected each month Key qualifications All candidates must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to have a current Enhanced DBS certificate before commencing any tutoring assignments (we can apply on behalf of a candidate if not currently held). - At least 2 years of relevant tutoring and/or teaching experience in the UK
- Excellent spoken and written English
