Full Job Description
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing tailored support to pupils with a range of special education needs. You will help pupils access the curriculum, promote their development, and create a positive learning environment., + Provide individual and group support to pupils with special education needs.
+ Assist in implementing personalised education plans.
+ Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and the SENCo to foster an inclusive learning environment.
+ Support pupils' academic, emotional, and social development.
+ Help pupils develop essential life skills and encourage their independence.
+ Promote positive behaviour and engagement in classroom activities.
+ Track, monitor, and report on pupils' progress.
+ Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
+ Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role is essential.
+ Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or related fields are preferred.
+ Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
+ Patience, understanding, and a passion for supporting pupils with special needs.
+ Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
+ Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
