Full Job Description
The role of the SEND Administration Officer is an important position within Whickham School and the post holder will be a key link with the SEND team, preparing documents for SEND pupils such as CYPS referrals, completing EHCP paperwork and ensuring that information held on record is up to date and accurate. - Supporting the SENDCO and Deputy SENDCO
- Preparing EHCP and SEN files
- Liaison with pastoral leaders, achievement team and teaching staff to gather information
- Minuting meetings as required and completing paperwork within legal timescale
- Preparing documents for transition from primary and between year groups
- Liaising with the Exams Officer to communicate special considerations in assessments and external examinations. A pupil-centered, proactive and methodical approach is essential in this key contact role. You will be part of a team who strive to ensure that our pupils are the best they can be and that all barriers to learning are addressed. This role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8.20 - 4.20 pm, Friday 8.20am to 3.50pm. There is an additional requirement to work some days during the summer holiday to support exam results and to have timetables prepared for the return to school in September. Salary: SCP 8-11, £25,992 to £27,269 per annum, actual salary £22,838.96 - £23,961.05 Contract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, 195 days to include training days and 5 additional days to be worked during school closure periods Whickham is a school where everyone is valued and where learning is cherished in a safe, caring and supportive environment.
