We are transforming our Inclusion and SEND services here in Lancashire. Lancashire County Council is seeking dedicated SEND Caseworkers to join our Inclusion teams. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting vulnerable children and their families, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes in education and beyond. These posts are ideally suited to people who have an administrative background who would like to work in a busy supportive workplace.,
- Child-Centric Approach: Place children and young people at the heart of all practices, collaborating with families, education providers, and stakeholders.
- Support and Guidance: Provide technical support and general guidance to families and professionals regarding special educational needs.
- Administrative Excellence: Provide efficient and effective administrative support which enables the Inclusion Service to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Effective Communication: Act as a frontline contact for service users, offering information and advice while maintaining accurate electronic records.
Qualifications: GCSE passes (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. A nationally accredited SEN qualification is desirable. - Experience: At least two years of administrative experience, with a background in working with children and young people with special educational needs preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, the ability to manage caseloads effectively, and a commitment to equality and diversity.
