About the role:The post will be teaching a small cohort of 16-19 learners in English and Maths sessions to update their knowledge. As well as developing teaching resources around learners understanding personal skills and attributes.We are looking for someone who can act as a role model for our learners and to ensure they progress with the attributes required for them to successfully transition on to a full-time course or into employment. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement. You will be working with welfare coordinators who will support the learners with attendance and engagement. Learners attending this provision have not been able to access post 16 education and require high levels of pastoral support. You will also be required to input in to EHCP outcomes and reviews. This is a fixed-term, full-time role based at our Blackbird Leys Campus in Oxford.What do you need to be successful in this role?Successful candidates will have experience
in teaching English and Maths and the ability to nurture and support young adults with a variety of needs.In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have an open mindset and attitude towards technology and virtual learning tools.
