Boys Middle School - Belsize Park Salary: NJC2 - Inner London Term time only FTE (27,306) Actual (22,828) Required November 2024 Hours - 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 2pm on Fridays Your new school Hasmonean Multi-Academy Trust is a centre of academic excellence in North West London. Your new role We are looking to appoint an excellent SEND Learning Support Assistant (data focus) to join our team from November 2024. The Successful Candidate will:
- Have English and Maths GCSE or equivalent
- Be flexible and a team player
- Have the patience and understanding to work with student with academic and other challenges e.g. dyslexia, ADHD, ASC This post includes
- Supporting students in the classroom by adapting and explaining work, helping them to focus
- Supporting students 1:1 by pre-teaching, explaining lessons, classwork and homework and helping them with social skills groups
- Timetabling of staff
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of paperwork
- Assist in the update of key information relating to SEND students via online systems
- Assist in the coordination of evidence collection to support students
- Helping out in whole school or year group assemblies and activities Training
- In house training - BINOH came in to give a full day's training on the first day of term and hope to follow this up
- External training on subjects of special interest - an LSA trained to be a level 5 dyscalculia specialist last year, this year LSAs are going on intensive ASC training
