Full Job Description
- Implement the SEN policy and provision in line with statutory requirements and best practice under the guidance of the SENCO.
- Carry out day-to-day identification, assessment, and provision of support for students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
- Liaise with staff to provide support and enhance their understanding of SEN principles and best practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, clinical staff and external agencies to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with SEN. Co-ordinate EHCP provision and specified interventions, skill up TA's where needed to deliver interventions.
- Lead on annual reviews, develop great relationships with parents and external SEND caseworkers.
- Submit high quality annual review paperwork to LA's.
- Co-ordinate external neurodevelopmental pathway referrals and liaise with paediatricians, health teams and other external agencies as needed.
- Co-ordinate EHCP provision and specified interventions, skill up TA's where needed to deliver interventions.
- Keep an up-to-date provision map.
- Manage and carry out day-to-day SEND tasks as required.
Extensive SEN experience with SEN related qualifications. - Proven experience working as a SEND manager/Assistant SENCO or related role within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practice.
- Highly organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
