Full Job Description

Do you want to make a difference for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families? Do you want to feel proud of your achievements every day? Are you someone with a passion for ensuring children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities achieve their potential and aspirations into adulthood? As SEND Senior Funding Officer you will be responsible for the arrangements for SEND funding, including the allocation of special needs funding to schools, personal budgets to parents, carers and students, as well as financial control of funding for out of area places. An eye for detail and ability to understand complex funding environments will be important. With your leadership skills you will enable the team to improve performance and work collaboratively with other colleagues. Using your skills in communication and engagement you will support, motivate and challenge colleagues and teams to ensure services are compliant and making the best use of our funding to help children and young people with SEND receive the education they need to help them to thrive.
