Full Job Description

This is a term-time only, contract role starting ASAP and finishing in July 2024 with the hopes that the successful candidate will transition to a permanent contract with the school from September 2025, if not earlier.

They have recently been awarded a 'Good' by Ofsted in every category and are looking for an 'Outstanding' Teaching Assistant to continue to nurture and support the development of the students and the school!

As a Teaching Assistant your key responsibilities will be to:
+ Work with the classroom teacher to provide support for primary school students
+ Work with individual students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional support
+ Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning and positive behaviour
+ Collaborate with colleagues, parents/carers, and community members to create a holistic and supportive educational experience for all students
+ Work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within mainstream classes, or within the dedicated special needs centre within the school

+ Have demonstrated experience working in Education or similar setting
+ Have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
+ Have a passion for education and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
+ Be a reflective and engaging educator with the drive to make a positive difference in children's lives
+ Be punctual and organised
+ Be able to build rapport with students and staff easily, cultivating a community with strong core values
+ Have experience working with or show a willingness to work with SEND students
