Full Job Description

The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the Trust's vision. They will work alongside the Director for Inclusion and other SENDCo's within the Trust to maintain and fully develop excellence in every aspect of the Academies' operation. They will be committed to ensuring that every child and young person with SEND makes excellent progress, through access to high quality provision.,

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced and child-centred SENDCo to join our successful and dedicated Inclusion Team at LEO Academy Trust. We are looking to appoint a part time SENDCo who will join our team and be based at Cheam Park Farm Primary Academy, but work may take place in other locations in the future to support the needs of the Trust as they arise, This person will be an excellent practitioner as a SENDCo within a school. We are looking for someone with experience of supporting the EHCP process, working with external agencies and a strong ability to communicate effectively., Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a minimum of an undergraduate degree
  • Have successfully undertaken the National Award SENCo Qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Be able to demonstrate recent and outstanding understanding of the EHCP process
  • Be able to effectively articulate the needs of pupils both orally and in written form
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a strong ability to work as a team
  • Be technically competent and be able to promote LEO through social media
