Full Job Description

  • Lead delivery of projects

  • Takes responsibility to deliver multiple projects (5-6) on brief, on time and on budget as their Senior Account Manager

  • Ensures development and use of working project plans to ensure timely delivery

  • Ensures agency and client standards/compliance processes are consistently observed as their Senior Account Manager

  • Can develop/critique briefs, presentations, copy, to ensure they are consistent with project objectives

  • Recommends what is feasible in terms of deadlines and budgets as their Senior Account Manager

  • Regularly reviews work process with team (up and down)

  • Identifies potential issues in project delivery and develops contingency plans

  • Provide valuable input to programmes based on the med ed strategy as their Senior Account Manager

  • Understands the brand strategy and can recommend a med ed strategy to support it

  • Understands the disease area, key brand data and competitor landscape to brief KOLs writers/editorial team, freelancers and suppliers so that compelling content is created to meet the brand objectives

  • Accurately estimate and reconcile project invoicing

  • Is confident in justifying budgets to clients as their Senior Account Manager

  • Provides expertise to team re estimating and budgeting

  • Identifies opportunities to recommend additional programmes

  • Ensures estimates and agreed specifications are in place and regularly reviews to identify any scope creep

  • Ensures full financial management including reconciliations and invoicing

  • Proactively identifies over/underspends with recommended solutions as their Senior Account Manager

  • To line manage (TBC)

  • Helps and supports on the job training and development of team members as their Senior Account Manager

  • Establishes clear development journeys for linees through the appraisal and mentoring process

  • Lead work getting done through others

  • Provides a guiding role for PM/SPE/PE

  • Is recognised as a role model by peers

  • Leads internal planning meetings as their Senior Account Manager

  • Delegates work to the right people (up and down)

  • Identifies pressure points and recommends/ensures that the necessary resources are in place including editorial support and freelancers

  • Recommends improvements in work processes

  • Plan and manage client liaison

  • Is confident to influence and guide client decision making as their Senior Account Manager

  • Is trusted by the Client as the main contact for programme delivery

  • Ensures there is a plan in place to manage daily contact with the client as their Senior Account Manager

  • Identifies potential issues and recommends solutions

  • Proactively looks at how they add value for the client

  • Conduct more difficult/challenging KOL briefings

  • Can engage with opinion leaders, brief them in line with programme objectives and manage pushback and challenging discussions as their Senior Account Manager.
