Full Job Description

  • Leading the day-to-day client account management and counsel for your team's retained and project work
  • Keeping on top of overall account/project planning and timelines, and regularly reporting up to senior team (e.g. your team lead, the Director/Business Director/MP for your clients) on account status
  • Leading client project executions, responsible for delivering to deadlines, efficiently managing team resource and budgets, and effectively managing client comms and relationships
  • Participating in all-agency brainstorms for new client briefs, and leading the brainstorm for your own client briefs as required
  • Being part of the team pitching creative ideas to clients
  • Leading media sell in's, managing an effective media strategy and team briefings to ensure maximum coverage results
  • Responsible for providing accurate, informative and meaningful client reporting - including detailed knowledge of using third party media monitoring platforms across your client accounts
  • Supporting the management and development of junior team members on your accounts/team including effective resource-planning and time management
  • Helping to build a positive agency culture, by participating in agency events, providing counsel to junior team members and sharing suggestions for the evolution of the agency to senior team to both resolve problems and create more efficient working processes

  • Team:
  • At Taylor Herring we work within a team-based structure within which sit project leads and client leads. As a general rule you work with, sit with and grow with your team.
  • You will have a line manager and after a year you will get a Mentor from outside your team
  • You will work most closely with the Senior Account Director & another Senior Account Manager

    Ability to work as part of a cross-agency team for clients as required - with good understanding of the role of PR within the wider comms media mix
  • Having a growth mindset - including proactively identifying commercial opportunities for Taylor Herring to grow it's support of clients (both for Taylor Herring and SMS / Brand Experience)
  • Always looking to add value to both clients and the agency, with ability to both make a difference and think on your feet/ adapt to change
  • Providing thoughtful counsel on PR strategy and execution choices to clients, including education about the role and capabilities of PR to more junior clients
  • Strong knowledge of the UK editorial media landscape
  • Previous experience within consumer PR
