Full Job Description

The post holder will work within the Financial Management team for the Clinical Support & Cancer Services and Child Health Business Units. The post holder will work with the Business Unit Accountant to deliver financial support and understanding to the service managers and leads within the Business Units. Summary of key elements for the role;

  • Skilled in the use of spreadsheets, databases and word processing
  • Good communication skills are essential both orally and in writing, with experience covering a broad range of management and non-finance staff
  • Good analytical skills and numeracy are essential
  • Analysis of complex financial queries such as forecasting the year end expenditure position or re-costing staffing rota's.
  • Analysing multi-stranded reasons for expenditure varying from budget
  • Resolving queries concerning financial reports from budget holders including identification of errors and rectifying problems with data from feeder systems
  • Planning and organisation of ongoing complex tasks is required around strict weekly, monthly and annual financial deadlines to meet financial reporting requirements
  • The role is based at Northumbria House located on Cobalt Business Park with hybrid working arrangements in place and the working hours are Monday to Friday. The Trust would also support anyone wishing to study towards professional qualification including financial support and study leave.
