Senior Acute Occupational therapist

We are looking for a keen OT to join our Acute Therapy Team. The team consists of Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy staff. We provide inpatient therapy to support patients recovering from acute illness or surgery, supporting discharge planning. The successful candidate will be part of an MDT working closely with other colleagues.
The post is rotational with opportunity to work across all acute areas, medicine, surgery / orthopaedics and elderly care.
Supervision and support is provided by the Band 7 Occupational therapist.
Interview Date TBC, + To manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions
+ To provide leadership for junior staff through supervision, competencies and appraisal
+ To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of Therapy services within a designated area/team, holding responsibility for defined projects
+ To contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust Therapy service
+ To regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements
+ To participate in the rotations as assigned by your manager
