Full Job Description

SGMC are seeking to appoint an experienced ALS team member who will work under the guidance of the college's SENDCO and act as a lead within an existing team of ALS staff, to implement strategic and operational processes, that will support all of the students at SGMC with SEN or additional needs, which represent a barrier to their achievement.

The ideal candidate will have good experience supporting students with neurodiversity as well as being a kind, empathic and patient individual, motived by removing learning barriers so that our students may have a full college experience and positive outcomes. Evidence of supporting students with ASD, anxiety, dyslexia and SEMH needs are especially advantageous, as is the ability to manage multiple deadlines/commitments by implementing systems that support the team's ability to meet the support needs of our students., We have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students. All appointments will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance
