Full Job Description

Do you have exceptional organisational, communication and administrative skills? Do you enjoy working closely with a small team of people and helping to get the best out of people? Are you looking to take on more responsibility? If so, then our senior administrator role may be just what you're looking for., The senior administrator role involves planning staff and room allocation, resolving rota issues, training new staff, supervising the work of the admin assistants, assisting in the recruitment of new staff and ensuring orders are placed and authorised. You will work alongside the other PAS Senior Administrators across the county and report directly to the Team Lead for this area, supporting them in ensuring the team works reliably, responsively and in a caring way., We are a dynamic team committed to delivering the highest standard of administrative service which you will support by providing day to day effective and efficient supervision:

  • Supervise a team of administrators and take operational responsibility for the allocation of their work and shifts, ensuring sufficient appropriately trained staff for requirements.
  • Resolve daily rota issues, working with colleagues in other areas to ensure cross-county community nursing cover if necessary.
  • Train new staff to the required level of skill, raising any identified issues with the team lead.
  • Supervise the work of admin assistants and support them with the more difficult jobs/situations.
  • Cover the admin assistant role if short-staffed.
  • Ensure orders are placed appropriately, GRN'd and authorised.
  • Organise team meetings and ensure they are accurately recorded.
  • Assist with recruitment (shortlisting and interviewing).
  • Support the team lead in the achievement of KPIs, audits etc.

Our team is experienced, friendly and enthusiastic about their work and we want a senior administrator who enhances the passion and attention to detail embedded in the team, whilst ensuring the service is caring, responsive and reliable.

The role will involve working at John Coupland Hospital and on occasion covering other sites during absence where cover is needed, remotely and in person. You will need to be prepared to visit each of the sites to meet the needs of the business and service delivery., The Trust is committed to supporting staff by offering an extensive health and wellbeing package as well as many staff network groups.
