A Senior Application Delivery Engineer, who will contribute to the design, installation, upgrading and maintenance of multiple platforms to support the Business. You will support and develop various platforms, gaining an excellent understanding and knowledge of the systems managed by the application delivery team. This includes Enterprise level Group Policy through to CCTV, Access Control Systems and various third-party applications. You will also manage software testing environments, secure password storage and auditing and monitoring solutions. Utilising the latest technologies and best practices, you will be responsible for provisioning high quality systems and applications. Working as part of an established team, you will take on and understand new challenges, whilst working with others to support our worldwide user base to a high standard. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy. Preferred skills and experience Administration of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and other network services., Supporting engineers to develop their understanding and knowledge through coaching and collaboration, ensuring viewpoints and opinions are considered, whilst providing an escalation point when appropriate. Providing support to technical leads within the wider IT engineering teams. Working closely with IT management and other functional groups to design, develop, deploy, administer and improve our services. Participating in both scheduled and unscheduled system maintenance including change management, on call and off-hours systems support. Proactively managing and maintaining all application delivery platforms and services. Working with internal teams to scope, procure, install and deliver systems. Creating and maintaining supporting documentation to a high standard. Ensuring that correct monitoring, reporting and maintenance processes are in place. Experience of strategic planning and decision making to align IT with Business objectives. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong documentation skills and attention to detail. Experience of change management practices. Knowledge of project methodology, creating plans and working towards deadlines. Ability to understand and deliver tasks and projects to our Business standards. Knowledge of in-depth issue troubleshooting, working through to resolution and providing 3rd line support for other IT teams. Experience of supporting, managing and maintaining a wide variety of systems, such as Windows and Linux-based. Understanding of door entry systems, CCTV, thermal cameras and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). Experience with monitoring, reporting and logging tools such as Splunk and Systrack and incident management tools, such as Remedy or Helix. Read more Read less
