Full Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team at ECA International Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management accounting function, including financial reporting, finance operations, budgeting and forecasting. This role requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles to ensure delivery of accurate and timely financial information.,

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of management accounts, including monthly financial reports and performance metrics.
  • Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures, providing explanations and recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial controls and processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather financial information and address any accounting-related queries.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports for senior management, highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor queries.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analysing financial data.

    Essential:
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or working towards it.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modelling.
  • Skills & behaviours:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
