Full Job Description

Credit Risk

  • Check all CA Credit Applications for accuracy, completeness and compliance with Credit policy.
  • Undertake loan pre-completion due diligence that has been completed by the Lending Teams, including the checking and verification of reports produced by the Bank's professional Advisors.
  • Assess and approve development loan build payment requests in accordance with approved procedures, ensuring that they are strictly in accordance with sanctioned terms, credit governance requirements, and internal policy.
  • Authorities
  • To authorise release of funds for loan completions and development loan build payment requests.
  • To authorise full/partial loan redemption requests (execution of DS1's, DS3's, Consent to Leases etc).
  • To act as an authorised signatory for facility letters and other loan documentation to ensure that signatures are in accordance with the current CA mandate
  • Credit Policy, Procedures, Monitoring and Compliance
  • To contribute to the Team's objective of leading in the engagement of credit governance and policy, and to actively engage in the Credit Risk process.
  • To assist the Senior Manager - Credit with the identification of issues within the credit process, and with their resolution.
  • Ad Hoc and General
  • Undertake ad hoc projects assigned by Management.
  • Provide guidance and training on Credit Risk matters to members of the Lending Teams, as directed by the Senior Manager - Credit
  • Risk & Compliance Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required

  • Property lending experience including bridging and residential development finance.
  • Good working knowledge of professional's reports (Valuation, Legal [including Report on Title] and Project Monitoring Surveyor).
  • Sound loans administration and credit risk experience at Assistant Manager level.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to act independently and with decisiveness, comfortable with exercising common sense and commercial judgement
  • Willingness to challenge Lending Teams when required
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment - focus on speed whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Intermediate level IT skills (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE/ARE:
