Senior Assistant Psychologist

Working with military veterans can be challenging and we are seeking someone with strong clinical and interpersonal skills who are able to manage and respond to the dynamic needs of the team and the client group, and to ensure that provision is accessible and appropriate.
The community-based military veterans service is a well-established team that have recently experienced some changes to provide a continuum of psychological provision including NHS Talking Therapies delivered by Psychological Well-being Practitioners, a High Intensity Therapists, a Psychologist, and this Senior Assistant Psychologist post. We also work in partnership with colleagues within Op-Courage, Combat Stress and local GPs. We are seeking a full-time Band 5 Assistant psychologist to support the provision of mental health care to military veterans with Cheshire and Merseyside (excluding the city of Liverpool). The post holder would be expected to be a key member of the team and will support the assessment, formulation, and dissemination of findings. The post holder will also be expected to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with initiative and autonomy.
