Full Job Description

  • Supporting the development of quality improvement in Sussex CAMHS
  • Undertaking tasks to enhance the use of routine outcome measures and feedback tools
  • Collating, managing and reporting ROMS and feedback data
  • Working with other assistant psychologists, clinicians and managers to embed ROMS into clinical practice and progress the adoption of measures to improve interventions and outcomes for children, young people and their families
  • Working alongside CAMHS participation managers with young people and families with lived experience, to ensure meaningful feedback and co-production of relevant projects and initiatives
  • Undertake relevant service evaluation and audit projects
  • Clinical Care pathways development work to improve service quality, safety and efficiency in CAMHS
  • Supporting clinical delivery including co-delivery of groups
  • Development and Co-Facilitation of relevant training for staff
  • You will be part of a Sussex -wide assistant Psychology network, and have opportunities to be part of the wider psychology networks within the trust. We have an excellent record of our Assistant Psychologists gaining places on clinical psychology training schemes and have close links with the Salomons Institute and Surry university Doctoral Courses.

    Are you a psychology graduate? Do you have experience or a keen interest in working in a mental health service for young people? Would you like to contribute to improving service quality and improving outcomes for young people and their families? If you do, then our Band 5 Senior Assistant Psychologist role may be just right for you. This is a permanent, full time post, to support quality improvement initiatives in Sussex Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). You will be supporting the Service Development Lead in Community CAMHS, to drive innovation, good practice and compassionate care in areas such as clinical outcome measurement, care pathways, and our digital offer. We are looking for a psychology graduate who has excellent communication skills, is well-organised, enthusiastic and able to show initiative. As a service we are committed to improving our use of Outcome Measures and your role will involve working with clinicians and managers in Community CAMHS services, to help shape delivery and improve outcomes for children, young people and their families. Your base will be in a Sussex CAMHS locality site (we have bases in Brighton & Hove, West Sussex and East Sussex). The role will involve a hybrid working model, which will include both office and remote working. Your preference for a work base will be taken into consideration and confirmed on appointment., We'd love you to join our organisation that is rated 'good' overall and 'outstanding' for caring by the CQC.

    We provide mental health and learning disability services for children, young people and adults across Sussex.
