Full Job Description

The Sterile Services Departments reprocess reusable surgical devices for internal theatre, wards, and outpatient clinics, we also provide a service to external GP Surgeries and Health Centre's. The department is operational seven days a week and the work we carry out is diverse, interesting and varied. We are a department where there is a lot to learn but we deliver a fascinating essential service with opportunities to develop and progress. We work together as a team to ensure the service provision is delivered on time with a commitment to putting the patients procedures and wellbeing at the centre of what we do., We are looking for an Senior Assistant Technical Officer for our site at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The shift pattern will incorporate 8am to 4pm shifts with late shifts of 1pm to 9pm, working one weekend in four. Some of these hours will attract unsocial hours payments., Ensuring that surgical equipment is processed in a timely and efficient manner

Assist with staff training sessions

Use tracking and traceability computer system with regard to 'tray tracking' to ensure traceability of equipment

Good Communication & Interpersonal Skills

Good attention to detail

Excellent customer services attributes

Good numeracy and literacy skills

Manage and monitor staff productivity on a day to day basis within all areas of the department
