Full Job Description

You will assist in the provision of a range of different service offerings provided by the Structured Finance team, which may include:

  • A range of assurance services to the banking and structured finance industry, including transactions, valuation opinions and stress testing

  • Knowledge of cashflow projection modelling techniques, in areas such as expected lifetime loss, loan provision, fair value modelling

  • Some experience of project management, leading client interaction and stakeholder management

  • Leading and developing junior members of the team

  • Carrying out complex modelling of asset cash flows

  • Carrying out valuations of structured products, particularly Asset Backed Securities

  • Building, developing and documenting models in line with market best practice

  • Some experience of managing tasks, people and processes in a range of situations

  • Data manipulation including the use of software such as Excel, Python, VBA SAS, or SQL to provide insightful and meaningful understanding to the risks and key drivers

  • Contributing to the strategy for the Structured Finance team, and volunteering to promote certain initiatives

  • Working in a diverse team and promoting an inclusive culture where colleagues are recognised for their contribution

    Strong analytical capabilities

  • Articulate and able to challenge approaches

  • Strong excel modelling skills including experience of VBA

  • Highly motivated and committed

  • Positive and ambitious attitude

  • Knowledge of current economic and market trends

  • Experience in Financial Services

  • Understanding of loans, mortgages and similar debt types

  • Ability to develop strong client relationships

  • Highly proficient in written and oral communication

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team


  • Desirable:
  • Experience of structured products from a modelling or valuation point of view

  • Knowledge and previous experience of PD / LGD / EAD modelling

  • Ability to visualise and understand large complex structures

    Personal independence
