Senior Associate Solicitor - Court of Protection (4254)

This is a Southampton based role, and there will be a requirement to be in the office for a minimum of two days per week. Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

The Court of Protection is the judicial body responsible for making decisions relating to the management of finances and other affairs of those individuals who lack the mental capacity to do so themselves. As one of the UK's leading firms of solicitors, we have a dedicated and experienced team who specialise in all matters relating to the Court of Protection.

You'll join Partner Louisa Chadwick, a specialist in the field of damages management. Louisa undertakes mental capacity and Court of Protection work with a primary focus on dealing with high value deputyships, as well as personal injury Trusts. She has extensive experience of supporting vulnerable clients and providing advice to lay clients and professionals in this niche and specialised area of law.

The successful candidate will manage a number of high value and/or complex cases within court of Protection, whilst also taking on leadership duties for a small team which include coaching, mentoring, goal setting and employee relations, etc. You'll also be expected to lead on client work, proactively undertaking business development activities to support Partners in growing the business and delivering excellent client service., Our responsible business programmes are fundamental to who we are and our purpose. • Demonstratable understanding of the litigation processes alongside Court of Protection matters


• Experience leading a team


• Experience in business development and leading client work is essential

• High level of accountability
