Full Job Description

  • Work with exciting household name clients including some of the world's biggest and best known brands and technology providers - the work spans all areas of the contract lifecycle, from pre-tender advice, bid evaluation, drafting, negotiating, finalising deals, followed by post-contract support (change controls, interpretation, etc.)
  • Advise on a wide range of technology and commercial contracts including cloud (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS), system integration, outsourcings, software development and software licensing
  • Advise on contractual privacy issues and support on privacy compliance work where required
  • Advise on regulatory issues, such as NIS 2 and DORA
  • Gain experience in a broad range of technology issues and sectors, including cloud, e-commerce, financial services, telecoms and space
  • Advise on AI and other innovative technologies

  • Develop as a commercial lawyer, through regular feedback loops, tailored training (both technical and soft skills), self-learning, suggested reading across a range of areas

  • Enjoy a high degree of direct client contact on a day-to-day basis

    Qualified lawyer with proven experience in Technology & Data
  • Strong academics
  • Sound working knowledge of contract and commercial law
  • Good understanding of IP
  • Good understanding of privacy
  • Good understanding of regulation as it impacts technology (eg consumer, telecoms, fintech etc) helpful but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Desire to learn and gain new skills and expertise
  • Willingness to work as part of a wider team, with a desire to build strong internal and client relationships and the drive to help develop a rapidly growing practice
