Full Job Description
To support the Bank Reconciliation Manager/ Team Leaders by:
- Reconciliation of client money bank accounts on a daily / monthly basis in accordance with the RICS Members' Accounts Rules (MAR).
- Monitoring and resolution of queries relating to reconciling items.
- Effectively manage risk by complying with Company and legislative procedures and controls, including ISAE3402 & RICS
- Identify problem areas and escalate issues promptly.
- Bank account maintenance.
- Regularly review processes and procedures to ensure the use of the most efficient technology and resources.
- Working with the Bank Reconciliation Manager/ Team Leader to create an industry leading Bank Reconciliation team that is considered a "Centre of Excellence" both internally and externally. What this job involves
- Accurate reconciliation of all client money bank accounts held according to the completion schedule and in accordance with RICS rules and guidelines.
- Leading query log meetings with key stake holders to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Be a point of contact for other internal teams.
- Review and countersign bank reconciliations prepared by other team members, reporting of potential RICS MAR breaches through the monthly KPIs in the agreed format.
- Knowledge sharing/ training across the Banking services team.
- Assisting with motivation of team members to develop a committed, high performance, client -focused team.
- Ensure the effective collaboration with other teams within CFS.
- Identify problem areas and escalate issues promptly, ensuring all RICS and ISAE3402 Controls are met
- With support from our internal compliance team, support all relevant internal and external audits.
- Actively support the Process Improvement and Change team to review processes to suggest improvements to standardise, streamline and simplify whilst mitigating risk.
- Supporting the cashier team with Bank Account Maintenance by reducing zero balance accounts and ensuring closure of all banks through finalising reconciliations.
- Proactive management of RICS breaches including escalation to Bank Reconciliation Manager / Team Leaders., We succeed together and believe the best inspire the best, so we invest in supporting each other, learning together and celebrating our success.
Experience in communication and interpersonal skills. - Relevant qualification preferred or qualified by experience.
- Experience within a reconciliation team or similar operations function within the financial services industry / highly regulated environment.
- Computer literate, knowledge/experience of banking systems and MS Office (particularly Excel)
- Good organisational skills, especially in time management, the ability to meet deadlines and flexibility to work under pressure at peak times.
- Ability to embrace and adapt to change.
