Full Job Description

As the Senior BI Developer, you will ensure that key performance data, reporting and analytics are delivered to drive the day-to-day success of the business and take the UKI Reporting and Analytics Function from "Good to Great". Leading the processing of complex data from multiple sources to build accurate, efficient and timely datasets and reporting that forms the foundation of all outputs from the Reporting and Analytics function. You will support the Go To Market (GTM) process in defining and sourcing data inputs, as well as collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, to ensure the delivery of exceptional outcome for Sage.   • Supervise the delivery of daily data pipelines, ensuring they are timely and accurate, to support the suite of BI reports for Sales & Commercial areas which are delivered to hundreds of frontline colleagues to drive performance and deliver accurate commission payments.
  • Support the GTM process working with and challenging, senior stakeholders to ensure that new propositions or initiatives can be produced, and the correct business processes are in place to ensure data capture is possible.
  • Work in partnership with the BI development team to ensure raw data is accurate, timely, well defined, and continuously improved.
  • Take accountability for, and deliver, key data projects, querying and modelling complex data from multiple and often disparate data sources.
  • Seek out and proactively work on continuous improvement projects looking at the way data is compiled and identify opportunities for efficiencies through automation and process/codebase improvements.

    Power Platform (Power Query, Power BI & Power Automate) and experience with demonstrable skills in troubleshooting.
  • SQL practitioner, capable of building complex queries to mine and manipulate data in line with business logic.
  • Experience working to reporting requirements, skilled in interpreting and delivering against the scope of work requests.
  • An ability to effectively manage & prioritise workload, working to tight deadlines
  • Experience with working in Agile framework, utilising tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or similar.
  • Other great skills would be:
  • Enterprise level data warehousing tool such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery or Amazon Redshift.
  • ELT tools such as dbt, and version controlling through GitHub
  • Familiarity with data observability tooling and techniques.
