The aim of this role is to manage the surgical bookings and give secretarial support to Paediatric Cardiac Surgery team. · TomanagepatientcommunicationsviatelephoneanduseTrustsystemstocreateletters, emailsandtextreminders · Toliaisewithandactasapointofcontactforqueriesfromclinicalandnon-clinicalstaff · Escalate patientqueries, capacity issues and breach details to the role's line manager where necessary · PatientCare: · To show acaring andprofessionalapproachtowards patients,relatives and carers.Thismay require acting with resilience to deal with sometimes distressed patients and relativesinanempatheticmanner · Tomonitor,manageandvalidateactiveandbacklogwaitinglistdata · To coordinate all outpatient clinic bookings for consultant teams,ensuring clinicsessions are booked. · To coordinate all operating theatre bookings for consultant teams,ensuring theatresessions are booked in accordance with local policies and ensure the efficientuse of theatreandbedcapacity
- To cover secretarial duties: -typing clinic letters and operation notes, - note taking for weekly JCC meetings - liaise with the Bristol Heart Institute regarding any changes to the rota., people and vulnerable adults.
