Full Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Brand Manager to join our team, owning the Art platform in the Royal Salute portfolio. This platform is an essential part of the strategy to elevate the brand by tapping into a key consumer passion point - art, the ultimate luxury. The platform has dual goals - to drive desirability amongst HNWI buyers while also generating luxury halo PR amongst new luxury consumers. This role encompasses the full 360 management of the artistic collaboration to deliver the limited edition and activation. You will collaborate closely with the Creative & Culture team regarding the artist talent, as well as with your Brand Director, wider team, and local markets to develop and market this platform. Limited edition & art installation development: Manage the artist to deliver Royal Salute's biennial Art offering:

  • Sourcing artist talent: In partnership with the Creative & Culture team, create long list of artists who meet Royal Salute's criteria; conduct outreach; negotiate contract terms on project needs.
  • Concepting & Design: Induct the artist onto the brand & bring their creative vision to life while maintaining true to our brand ethos. Liaise with packaging development throughout concepting to ensure the artist vision can be achieved within project timeframes. Bring key markets along on the journey to ensure full allocation of the limited edition.
  • Development: Collaborate with the artist, packaging development, blending, finance, legal, customer service & supply chain teams to deliver both the whisky and limited edition. Ensure clear project management with shared awareness of objectives, milestones and quality thresholds in a timely manner.
  • With the ever-increasing focus on sustainability, sustainable sourcing / recyclability should be considered as much as possible. Toolkit development & amplification: Lead the development of activation toolkits that provide necessary assets for markets to gain impactful visibility.
  • Asset planning & creation: Align with markets on needed assets that are relevant for target customers & consumers (i.e. digital/social, L3F, sell sheets for PCMs, etc.); collaborate with agencies to produce inspiring assets and toolkits that stay true to the artist's creative vision while meeting brand and market needs.
  • Amplification planning: Work closely with the PR/Communications, Digital and Paid Media teams to develop and execute global PR/Coms/Social Media strategy.
  • Launch & activation: Create and deliver an experiential programme that engages both press and HNWIs
  • Global launch event: Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, lead the ideation, planning and execution for the global launch of the Collaboration. This may include sponsorship management/ development of new partnerships with art fairs, galleries, art media partners, auction houses, etc.
  • Toolkit creation: Lead the development of 360 activation toolkit to provide all necessary assets for markets to create impactful activations locally (local events guidelines, stationery, gifting…)
  • Who you'll be working with: Internally, you'll work with the Royal Salute brand team, HQ & CBIL Culture & Creative teams, Packaging Development, Blending, Finance, Legal, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Communications, Paid Media, CSR/Sustainability, Strategy, Consumer Insights, Marketing Effectiveness, local market brand teams, local market Le Cercle teams, HQ Prestige+ team. Externally, your contacts will be creative agencies (packaging, asset production, etc.), creative partners (artists, etc.), and other partners (art fairs, galleries, charities, brand collaborators, etc).

  • Seasoned Brand Manager/Senior Brand Manager professional with functional experience and strong luxury/art understanding.
  • Strong knowledge of new product and campaign development, obtained preferably from a luxury / creative environment.
  • Highly organised and strong sense of ownership of projects and project management in a matrixed environment.
  • Cultural awareness and interpersonal skills - able to work effectively with creatives and colleagues from different international markets, and from different disciplines.
  • Luxury, design and style understanding while also considering the sustainability angle.
  • Entrepreneurial - able to identify new opportunities and develop projects from a 'blank sheet' and good at "getting things done".
  • Presentation skills - confidence to present formally to internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrates good commercial understanding.
  • Willingness to travel where required.
