Full Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Brand and communications, with a dotted line into the digital team, the Senior Brand Manager oversees the marketing and communication plan for all BK restaurants including digital touchpoints. They are responsible for the development and execution of the brand vision, strategic plan and innovation agenda across all in restaurant comms (with the support of a direct report). They will be accountable for the in-restaurant strategy to help elevate the brand and drive footfall and sales in line with key commercial objectives throughout the year. The role will develop and manage creative plans for product launches and key calendar moments. They will be responsible for the development of all in restaurant visuals, overseeing the food photography shoots and rollout of key visuals across all channels. The Senior Brand Manager will manage and be the key contact for the design and print agencies. This role will be responsible for working with key stakeholders from the property and operations teams to develop the permanent in restaurant signage and oversee local marketing requests (for in restaurant comms). They will also be accountable for the collation and cascading of all kit communications to restaurants. As part of the brand and comms team the role will manage brand consistency across all relevant touch points and ensure the customer experience is at the highest standard. The role will be expected to develop deep customer insights and translate them into effective brand positioning and high impact promotional campaigns, whilst ensuring alignment to the larger global direction of the BK brand. What you'll do:

  • Manage the marketing plan across all elements of the in restaurant marketing mix. Ensure consistency of brand standards and alignment with key commercial objectives
  • Develop the strategic approach for in restaurant comms
  • Manage the development of key in restaurant visuals (across brand and product launches inclusive of key events e.g. Christmas, Summer)
  • Accountable for the kit launch creative, associated co-ordination and asset roll out
  • Oversee adaption of the key visual across digital assets for the broader marketing team as relevant (working with key stakeholders)
  • Manage relationships with partner agencies and suppliers (design and print) ensuring that all launches and campaigns are managed within the budget, on time, and targeted to achieve measurable ROIs
  • Oversee the photoshoot direction for all product launches
  • Oversee the collation and cascading of all merchandising updates and kit communications to restaurants
  • Work with the property and operations team to develop in restaurant permanent signage across all NROs and remodels
  • Oversee local requests for additional support, working closely with the wider marketing team on strategic local plans
  • Work with the commercial finance partner to review and analyse campaign performance, giving feedback and actionable insights to the team
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of current marketing strategies and tactics and make recommendations for changes and improvements
  • Keep up to date with the changing market and competitor activity and share this with the wider marketing team
  • Report back on KPIs on new product launches and recommendations
  • Manage a direct report (Assistant Brand Manager)

    Degree in Marketing (Bachelor/Master/Diploma) or equivalent qualification, desirable
  • Retail/in restaurant merchandising experience
  • Minimum 6 years experience in a Brand Manager/Senior Brand Manager role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate accurately and compellingly to a variety of audiences
  • Proven skills in in-restaurant brand marketing, market and competitive analysis, customer insights and project planning
  • Evidence of marketing campaigns that have delivered a strong return on investment
  • Highly creative and analytical, with ability to apply brand application across integrated channels
  • Able to manage multiple projects at any given time, with excellent attention to detail
  • Commercially sound and able to make clear and appropriate decisions to balance brand with market opportunity
  • Self-starting and driven to achieve results, holding self and others to high execution standards
  • Experience managing a direct report
