Senior Building Officer

To manage the delivery of minor works projects within the Estates and Facilities Directorate.
You will ensure quality control as required, for all allocated minor works projects. You will have the ability to prepare and implement risk assessments with knowledge of MS Office packages along with building design applications.
You will have the ability to prepare briefs, prepare specifications, pricing (schedule of rates) and run projects with an in-house team and appointed contractors. A working knowledge and understanding of the application of the DDA Regulations, Health and Safety law, Building Control and all forms of Building Contract and performance (KPI) Management applicable to the Construction Industry is desired.

The Capital, Estates and Facilities Department are looking to appoint a self-motivated individual to join the Capital Planning and Development Department as a Senior Building Officer within our Minor Works team.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as you will be required to gain the confidence of stakeholders both inside and outside of the organisation. If you enjoy working in a friendly fast paced office environment and have previous experience in building surveying , as a building manager or in construction management then this role could be for you.
