We are looking for an experienced building surveyor who can work independently whilst also providing support and guidance to Repairs Inspectors sharing your experiences and knowledge. You'll be a confident communicator who is, comfortable explaining recommendations to colleagues and residents verbally and in

detailed technical reports, You will collaborate within your team, with colleagues right across our organisation, and with external third parties to ensure we provide good quality homes that enable our residents to live their lives well. You will need to be flexible with change and able to use different IT systems to carry out your day-to-day tasks. Essential

  • Appropriate surveying qualifications/relevant qualifications in line with progression framework
  • Knowledge and ability to write detailed technical reports
  • Relevant experience providing services to residential property owners and managers.
  • Experience in management of major works, along with experience in preparing tender docs, scope of works, and cost appraisal and dealing with interim/final accounts.

  • Member of RICS or CIOB
  • Degree in building surveying or similar qualification

You will be pivotal in improving the quality of our homes and ensuring they are properly maintained. You will deliver surveys, technical specifications, and recommendations using your experience to deliver the best value and excellent homes for NHG. How you'll do itYou will play a crucial role in identifying, assessing, and managing works to prevent disrepair issues within our managed properties. Your focus will be undertaking property inspections and producing work specifications, creating purchase orders on different platforms, instructing contractors, agreeing on costs & overseeing repairs until completion. You will work closely and collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across NHG and externally to drive improvements and offer a first-class service to our customers.
