Full Job Description

As a Senior Business Strategy Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll to help to shape and form the future direction of the business to enable the delivery of our ambitious growth targets. Day-to-day, you'll support the Head of Strategy in the development and delivery of the Misson Systems strategy (both internal and external). You will focus on the elements which are novel, complex, entrepreneurial, and hard to deliver. The role requires the ability to absorb complexity and convey simplicity.

  • Supporting the Head of Strategy in all strategy refreshment activities, key bids, growth projects, including developing and managing internal relationships for strategy across Babcock international.
  • Supporting annual strategic refreshment cycle including the generation of the annual strategy blueprints, submissions to Group, participation in wider Babcock strategic initiatives.
  • Supporting the strategy into action across the business to deliver against the plan, driving the delivery of key strategic initiatives (both internal and external) maintaining process dashboards and drafting updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Translating the identified strategy into the budget in collaboration with the finance team and conducting financial analysis (such as scenario planning).
  • This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with minimum 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home. This role can require long periods onsite when the project demands.

  • Ability to identify, quantify and develop strategic options for the business and formulate plans of action.
  • Experience (either professionally or academically) in business analysis including market sizing, investment valuation, due diligence, value creation, and business improvement.
  • Experience (either professionally or academically) in planning, budgeting, project management.
  • Demonstrable history of overperformance in a range of disciplines., Batchelor's level degrees in a relevant Business or Engineering Demonstrable technical and mathematical ability (maths A in A-level or equivalent) with some experience in aerospace and defence related fields., The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
