Senior Buyer

We are looking for talented Senior Buyers to support and contribute to the successful delivery of the scope, schedule and cost against the work scope of an assigned sub category/portfolio. We have opportunities across our wide breadth of Categories, including Business Services, Corporate Services, Site Operations, Major Projects and Manufacturing. We partner with our supply chain to manufacture products to safely secure nuclear material, so there is a lot of investment in this space. We also have a 20 year strategic arrangement with the Supply Chain to deliver its suite of complex and nationally important major projects.,

  Experience working in procurement/supply covering a broad range of products and services,
• Experience delivering a full cycle of a procurement plan.
• Experience delivering improvement work within a commercial supply chain environment.
• Administration of contracts.
• Exposure to individual financial delegated authority.
• Membership of/commitment to or studying for Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply qualifications or other relevant equivalent professional qualification.
• Understanding/application/working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines e.g. NEC 3 terms and conditions.
• Knowledge /strong working knowledge of Open Journal of European Union (OJEU) and Public Contract Regulations.
• Working within a manufacturing, construction or engineering environment would be a benefit, but not essential.
