Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior professional with a great track record of producing compelling campaigns and marketing that really make a difference.

We're looking for someone who has passion for the power of great campaigns that will increase public awareness, and has the skills to lead change and influence audiences.

As a senior manager in our Corporate Communications team, you will also have a wider influence in setting our strategic direction.

Nottinghamshire Police is a forward-thinking, ambitious police force with a focus on delivering a communications strategy that puts people, storytelling and content at the heart of everything we do. Ultimately, your work will support our officers and staff to protect the public, engage with our communities and help to save lives.

You will have flair for engagement, a keen eye for detail and be able to manage a busy programme of campaigns and events to help build trust and confidence with our communities to make sure they feel safe and listened to.

The ideal candidate will be a campaigns/marketing professional, already working in a complex, fast-paced organisation and looking for their next exciting career move. You will know how to hit deadlines and build strong relationships that foster trust both internally and with external partners.

We're looking for someone who can think creatively and raise the bar for our public campaigns, bringing energy and ideas to the changes we want to achieve, and someone who can lead on the development of our brand and identity.

You will have excellent verbal and written skills, a high standard of grammar and a background that means you will start to make an impact on day one. An understanding of social media, web development and analysis of insight/evaluation and communications channel development are also desirable skills.

You will be a supportive and inspirational manager who leads by example to develop a first-class service for the force. The scope of the work will include writing crisp, engaging campaign copy, producing and managing multi-channel campaigns, and having a great eye for photography, videography and design and print. You will be responsible for management of five members of staff, including the force print unit, and work closely with senior managers on a whole-team approach.

Please note this job will be based at force headquarters, but there is an expectation that the candidate appointed may travel to other locations on occasion. There will also be occasional out-of-hours working for evening or weekend events as necessary.
