PLEASE NOTE it is a requirement of this Trust that all successful applicants pay for their DBS certificate if a check is required for the post. This will be done through deduction from your monthly pay over a maximum of three months. It is also a requirement that all successful applicants register or are registered with the DBS update service where a DBS is required.
All new entrants to the NHS will be appointed on the minimum of the pay scale in line with Terms & Conditions., To participate in a broad spectrum of diagnostic Cardiology and pulmonary function investigations.
To work towards experience and expertise in at least one division of advanced measurement testing, participating in and facilitating the Department's multi-skilling process.
To assist in providing cardiac and pulmonary diagnostic tests.
To learn new skills and support the development of the service.
To contribute to the training and development of other members of the wider team acting as a role model delivering patient-centred and high quality care.
To support the department to meet National and local targets, working flexibly and dynamically where appropriate.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, caring and compassionate individual to join our cardiac physiology team within the Cardiac Diagnostic Department at the Gateshead NHS Foundation Trust Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead and roating within our New Community Diagnostic Centre within the Metro Centre.

The successful applicant will hold a BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology, Healthcare Science or equivalent, voluntary RCCP/ACHS registration and proven post-qualification experience in a range of diagnostic tests including cardiac catheterisation, permanent pacemaker implants, pulmonary function testing and Holter analysis as essential skills., Are you passionate about caring for patients? The successful applicants will possess skills in echocardiography and /or cardiac rhythm management, and will be prepared to work toward BSE adult transthoracic accreditation.
The successful applicants will have experience as a Cardiac Physiologist with diagnostic cardiac catheterization, permanent pacemaker implants, physiologist led exercise tolerance tests and Holter analysis as essential skills.
BSc Healthcare Science or Bsc (Hons) Clinical Physiology, or equivalent for this post is essential.
