Senior Care Assistant

Extra Care units offer residents their own self contained living space within a larger building, with access to care staff who are based within the unit and who provide care to each resident. As a care assistant at our Extra Care Unit, you will be supporting residents, who all have varying needs to live as independently as possible, with personalised care and support plans in place. You will be working between supporting the residents and within the office.

Every client's needs are different. You may assist with a bit of housework or help with getting up in the morning. A tasty hot meal and a listening ear. A hand with medication or getting washed and dressed. But more than this, our carers become friends, providing human company, encouragement and maybe a laugh or two, often when life has become a bit tough. Caring isn't always easy, but a lot of people and their families will be grateful that you were there for them.

You will be working 20 hours supporting our residents, and 20 hours working within our office.

We're recruiting part-time and full-time care assistants to support our clients., Whether you already have previous professional experience, you've cared for a loved one or you simply enjoy supporting others, your compassion, patience, and understanding are exactly what we need. Your responsibilities may include assisting with personal care including continence support, washing and dressing, managing medications, cooking or preparing hot meals, and helping with domestic tasks.
