This is a senior care assistant role at Avery Healthcare's Avonmere Care Home in Downend, Bristol. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the care team to deliver high-quality personal care, creating a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff., As a Senior Care Assistant, you will focus on supporting and working alongside the care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Key responsibilities will include monitoring resident wellbeing, being involved in care planning, supporting residents with medication, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, and professionals., Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilitieswillinclude :

  • Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
  • Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated., As one of the largestproviders of luxury elderly care homes in the UK, we believe that the lateryearsof our residents lives should be as enriching as any other.

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.
  • Have the ability tocommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities., To be successful, you will need an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, and at least 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
  • You will also need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff, and the flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities.
