Full Job Description

1. Aid in the Induction training of new Members of Staff, in all aspects of their work in the Care Home, Assist with staff training along side with the management.

2. Help ensure that all staff and domestic staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the home

3. Assist residents with Bathing/showering and any personal care that they need to a high standard

4. Administer Medication via the atlas system

5. Help in the Promotion of Physical and Mental activity of the Clients

6. Answer Emergency Bells, Greet Visitors and answer telephone calls in a professional manner

7. update all charts via our pcs handsets/computer

8. Update Care Plans monthly or when necessary- this is a primary duty and must be carried out urgently and properly in consultation with residents and families whenever possible.

9. Take part and chair staff meetings and also during training meetings as directed

10. Arrange for Health Care worker visits, gp visits, social worker visits

11. Liaise with Doctors , Social Workers, district nurses , cpn and any other professionals that may visit the home .

12. Oversee visits from future clients when necessary

13. Supervise staff and ensure that the homes procedures are being always adhered to.

14. Completion, processing and notification of all forms, i.e. falls forms, hospitalisation forms etc…

15. Notification of emergency services when necessary and liaising with Management on all urgent and non-urgent matters.

16. mar charts, medication administration, handling/storage and all associated matters must be dealt with in a proper manner

17. Report any maintenance issues to the maintenance staff and/or management.

18. Inspecting common areas and toilets. Ensuring that these areas are always kept clean and tidy. Clean up spills and dropped litter whenever necessary.

19. To carry out room and communal area inspections to ensure cleanliness and audit staff performance.

20. To assist Staff when and where necessary

21. To assist Residents with IT Facilities on Site

22. To carry out hospital and home assessments when required.

23. To carry out Care Home viewings when necessary

30. you will need a completed nvq 3 or be willing to work towards this qualification.

31. past experience in all aspects of medication and care planning is necessary but not essential as training will be given.,

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)


  • Experience:
  • Senior care: 1 year (required)

  • supervisory: 1 year (required)

  • Dementia care: 1 year (required)

  • Medication administration: 1 year (required)

    24. salary will be £12.59 per hour


  • 25. we are all electronic and all training will be given on both medication and care plans

    26. you will have a set rota which will consist of a 2 week system, also you will work one weekend on one weekend off.

    27. your shift hrs will be 19:00-07:00

    28. there is possible over time which also pays an overtime premium of 12.07%

    29. we will initially pay for your badge, dbs. and uniforms
