Full Job Description
Within your role as a Senior Care Assistant, you can really make a difference to our residents' lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Aiding residents emotional well-being and social needs
- Administration and monitoring of medications to residents.
- Supporting residents at meals time
- Mentor & assist new employees.
- Implement, monitor and review care plans to meet residents specific needs.
- Plan, allocate & supervise the work of the team of care assistants
We want someone proactive, passionate, and ambitious to support us to create the best person-centred environment for our residents. You'll be genuinely valued and empowered as an integral part of our team. - Experience as a Senior Care Assistant & leading a team.
- Have a friendly & caring attitude.
- Experience of administrating medication
- Able to engage well with the residents and their families.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social care or willing to work towards this.
- Great communication skills, both written & verbal., Senior Carer, dementia, Alzheimer's, older people, nursing, nurse, senior care assistant, SCA, leadership, NVQ level 2, NVQ Level 3, Nurse Assistant, Senior Support Worker, Senior Care Worker, Senior Support, team leader.
Hours: Nights, 44 Hours available per week, working weekends on rota (Shift Timings- 07:00 to 19:00) As a well-established part of the community in Spalding, St Johns Care Home provides residential and specialist dementia care in a warm, family-led setting.
