A Senior Care Assistant is essential within our care home, providing vital support to the nursing team with clinical duties.

They ensure residents receive high-quality care by assisting with medical tasks such as administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and updating digital care plans.

Their role bridges the gap between nursing staff and residents, ensuring seamless and efficient care delivery. With an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, Senior Care Assistants bring expertise and professionalism, enhancing the overall care environment.

You'll help us make health happen by :

Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit

Supporting with clinical duties, including supporting the nurse to observe, issue medication, review care plans and accurate record keeping

Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsible for all shift handovers of the teams

Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported

Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses

Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties
