Full Job Description

Looking for the next step in your career?
Then Bolton Council bed-based services are the place for you!
We have an exciting opportunity for you to become part of our dynamic, supportive service. We are looking for dedicated, compassionate Senior Care Assistants to join our team. You may have opportunities to work across our Bolton sites; this can be discussed at interview.

You are encouraged to attend:
"UK Careers Fair" in the Bolton Albert Halls on Thursday 12th September between 10am-2pm OR
"Employment Support for Every Citizen Event" in Bolton Town Hall on Friday 13th September between 10am-2:30pm
We are able to provide further information on the roles available, support in completing applications and there is potential to be interviewed on the day.

What do we do?
We provide 24-hour residential care for people who require continuation of care and rehabilitation, or assessment of future care needs. Our aim is to support residents to regain as much independence as possible, by involving residents with their care needs, to return home or move onto alternative care arrangements. We recognise the skills and experience individuals can bring and promote joint working, with both NHS and Local Authority staff working on-site.

What does the role involve?
Please read the job description and person specification for these duties.

What will your working week look like?
Please see attached rota examples. Please note this is a set rolling rota, but there will be opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

You must be experienced in providing care in a nursing or residential home.
You should be friendly, an effective team player, and be willing to support and direct the team to deliver person-centred care.
You should have some care qualifications and be willing to complete more training.
You should be able to administer medication or be willing to learn.
You should be able to use a computer as you will be expected to use and monitor the computer-based information systems.
Unfortunately, at this time Bolton Council is not able to offer sponsorship for these positions, therefore you must have Right to Work in the UK.

This is your opportunity to join us at an exciting time as we have strong ambitions for the borough.
