The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Execution:

  • Match capacity to shipments to meet customer expectations and ensure seamless freight execution
  • Take ownership of strategic freight opportunities by aligning internal teams and delivering tailored capacity solutions
  • Create and execute SOPs while adhering to best practices and agreed-upon KPIs
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve shipment challenges and ensure smooth operational execution
  • Capacity Procurement:
  • Build a healthy portfolio of carrier capacity by sourcing, negotiating, and buying at market-competitive rates
  • Utilize analytics and pricing tools to guide informed buying decisions and secure capacity that meets load requirements
  • Develop innovative capacity solutions, including drop trailer programs, dedicated lanes, and multi-leg movements
  • Internal and External Relationships:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers through communication, visits, and account reviews
  • Research and onboard new carriers by generating leads and qualifying opportunities
  • Lead carrier evaluations to align future business needs and identify growth opportunities
  • Quality:
  • Drive automation compliance in carrier activities in alignment with company strategy
  • Ensure high-quality standards across all shipments and carrier engagements
  • Comply with internal trading rules and exceed quality expectations in every aspect of the role

  • In this role, you will build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, strategically secure capacity, and ensure seamless execution of shipments to meet customer expectations. You'll take ownership of strategic freight opportunities, leveraging your expertise to develop innovative solutions like drop trailer programs and dedicated capacity. By using data-driven insights and negotiating effectively, you'll make informed buying decisions and grow our carrier network.   • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 3+ years of experience in carrier sales and transport coordination, specializing in the UK market
  • Knowledge of managed carriers, automation tools, and recommendation systems
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and business KPI management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and influencing abilities
  • Skilled at prioritization and thriving under deadlines
  • Open, adaptable, and eager to learn new opportunities
  • Team player with a "can-do" attitude and enthusiasm
  • Strong relationship-building and customer service-focused approach
