Join us as a Senior CASS Manager                                                 

  • Take on this collaborative role in which you’ll support senior management in overseeing compliance with client money and custody regulations
  • You’ll maximise the protection of money and custody assets belonging to clients when in the safekeeping of the bank
  • Develop your asset management capabilities in a pivotal role with considerable stakeholder interaction and the opportunity to build your network across the bank
  • We're offering this role for a period of six months

What you'll do

As a Senior CASS Manager, you’ll set the client assets strategy to be agreed by senior colleagues through appropriate governance in areas of business responsibility. You’ll make sure that effective controls and governance are in place to reduce the possibility of regulatory and reputational damage to the bank, as well as undertaking impact and gap analysis and creating action plans to update strategy, policy and procedures.

Your role will also involve:

  • Creating and maintaining robust oversight arrangements of client asset operational effectiveness in the relevant business areas
  • Providing expertise to senior colleagues responsible for client asset oversight
  • Managing relationships with senior management in operational areas of relevant outsourced entities to meet and exceed the requirements of FCA client assets rules
  • Exercising good judgement regarding changes to procedures and controls in client assets operational areas, and influencing senior management to make those changes

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience in an investment risk or operational control environment. You’ll have a good understanding of the depositary services business that oversees how funds are managed and ensures that investors’ assets remain safe.

You’ll also need:

  • In-depth knowledge of client asset and money arrangement regulations and industry practice
  • Experience of managing relationships with senior stakeholders, including reporting to risk committees and communications with the regulator
  • Knowledge of sales processes and banking products and services
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
