Full Job Description

The Senior Category Management Lead role sits within our Integral Sourcing and Procurement Team, reporting into the Head of Procurement. This is a pivotal role that will provide strong leadership to our Category Management team and build the end-to-end strategy to manage our Supply Chain and Category Management related activities.,

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team of Category Managers. Provide guidance, support and mentorship to drive individual and team success. Ensure clear goals, objectives and targets are defined both individually and at team level; create personal development plans which build career growth; hold regular 1-2-1's and team meetings. Foster a collaborative culture and create opportunities for professional growth

  • Develop a comprehensive Category Management programme to ensure each category has a defined commercial strategy which identifies opportunities for consolidation to the PSL, leverages economies of scale and aligns to the strategic business direction and requirements. Ensure SME's from across the business are engaged and participating to help define operational requirements.

  • Possess a strong market knowledge across the relevant fields to remain informed on market movements and insights which are reflected into category plans, and proactively identify opportunities to improve category strategies and commercial delivery.

  • Lead Integrals Supply Chain which comprises of the Preferred Supplier List (PSL) and non-Preferred Suppliers. Key focus is on right sizing the Supply Chain to ensure we deliver a Local, Regional and National solution to cover all the business sector requirements and implement strategic frameworks which are maintained and tracked.

  • Build a strong understanding of Integrals self-delivery capability versus our subcontracting strategy, developing make vs. buy scenarios across each category. Ensure we have a robust Supply Chain solution to support where we don't self-deliver.

  • Work in alignment with our Senior Client Sourcing Leads to identify opportunities to convert non-preferred spend to our PSL. Use influencing skills to challenge any retained or legacy suppliers, with a continuous focus on rationalisation and alignment to our PSL. Ensure all conversion opportunities to the PSL are maximised and develop a monthly report for the Integral Board which tracks conversions.

  • Deliver financial targets in line with business expectations and proactively seeks opportunities to target the delivery of additional benefits whilst mitigating impacts such as inflation, materials shortages etc.

  • Lead the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programme to maximise joint initiatives and opportunities with our PSL, and gain key insights into their current pipeline and performance, strategic business development plans, ESG programmes, HSSE compliance, innovations, sales and bid opportunities etc. Engage the relevant business stakeholders to participate and become supplier relationship sponsors.

  • Actively promote the PSL through hosting Supplier Events, Webinars and Breakfast Briefings to bring an improved understanding of the capabilities of our PSL to the business and increase their engagement and collaboration with the Supply Chain.

  • Build strong relationships with both Sourcing and Procurement colleagues as well as key stakeholders and business partners across both the Integral and JLL businesses. Identify a network of key SME's and ensure they are plugged into relevant supply chain activities.

  • Responsible for the delivery of the Alliance Programme, our supplier membership programme, working with our Alliance partners to drive value through deeper collaborations, unlocking growth opportunities, and aligning our businesses for success. Deliver the annual Alliance target and provide monthly reports on where the programme is tracking and any gaps to target.

  • Work closely with finance business partners on tracking the Alliance programme delivery and keeping bad debt and aged debt to within the agreed tolerance levels.

  • Support new business wins and help protect the win in relation to existing Client renewals & expansions, through supporting our Senior Client Sourcing Leads in any required activities, for example recommending suppliers to participate in bids, helping collate quotes etc.

  • Responsible for the Supplier Onboarding programme and reviewing new supplier requests against our existing PSL, undertaking due diligence checks to approve new suppliers or actively pushing back where we have existing suppliers. Ensuring we have an audit trail of all activities relating to the management of supplier risk and compliance.

  • Develop the Integral Sourcing and Procurement Playbook & the Innovations Playbook.

  • Contribute to the annual strategy planning process, defining the Category Management strategy and pipeline, liaising with the JLL Category Management team to ensure alignment and maximising any joint leverage opportunities.

  • Support the delivery of our ESG and Diversity strategies through identifying opportunities to work with existing and new diverse suppliers across our portfolio.

  • Work closely with Health and Safety to ensure our subcontractors are following our HSSE processes and procedures.

  • Work with our Business Intelligence function to ensure our Tableau databases are fully reflective of our Supply Chain information, and working with them to build Supplier directories and reports to be utilised across the business.

  • Key contact within Integral for any Category Management enquiries or escalations and supply chain solution development opportunities.

  • Contribute to the production of the monthly reporting to the Board and EMEA S&P Leadership Team by providing updates on Category Management activities and key stats and data., Develop a comprehensive Category Management programme with market leading strategies which deliver commercial benefit and improve our supply chain performance.

  • Right size the Supply Chain with a key focus on increasing adherence to the PSL, and deliver a Local, Regional and National solution

  • Expert in developing competitive environments with a strong bias for decision making rooted in data and analytics.

  • Partners with key stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities to drive both immediate and sustained benefits.

  • Bring strategic thought leadership to identify benefits and operational efficiencies across the business.

  • Strong negotiation capability with a proven track record of delivering optimal results.

  • Engages and collaborates regularly with colleagues in JLL's Category Management team to share best practice, knowledge and leverage joint opportunities.

  • Leads the delivery of key programmes including the Alliance Programme, ESG and Diversity Programmes.

  • Facilitate strategic supplier relationships and deliver SRM programmes.

    The candidate will possess a proven track record of building and leading high performing teams, a deep market knowledge across all service lines and sectors where Integral currently operates, and develop a supply chain and Category Management strategy that supports and facilitates the business in delivering optimal solutions and benefits., Ability to demonstrate value, insight and innovation development.

  • Proven ability to deliver results in challenging environments.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict timelines, both under own accountability and as part of a team., Bachelor's Degree / Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain preferred.

  • 10+ years-experience in delivering Category Management within a Hard FM Services or engineering discipline across the UK market is essential.

  • 5+ years experience in a Category Management leadership role with proven experience in leading a team.

  • Professional certification e.g., CIPS, CPM or evidence of continued professional growth or Business (MBA, master's in business or equivalent).

  • Experience of effective supplier management techniques, including commercial and qualitative performance, risk management and supplier relationship management.

  • Able to demonstrate experience in a broad range of key procurement skills including leadership, negotiation, influencing, project and change management and governance.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence across all levels.

  • Excellent inter-personal and organization skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint essential).

  • Experience of working with CAFM systems and e-Sourcing tools is desired.

  • Strong analytical skills with excellent ability to work with large amounts of data and build reports and category strategies.
