Full Job Description
Broadcast and End-User Technology, within Technology Group, designs and develops the technology systems, applications and products the BBC needs in order to commission, create and manage content for TV, online and on demand. We also provide the IT (Information Technology) used by everyone across the BBC including: devices, such as PC laptops, desktops & Macs; software, networks, and remote access technologies. Our work touches everyone who works for the BBC and all of our output, both within the UK and internationally and we're focussed on serving all audiences and delivering technology excellence for our colleague., We're currently recruiting a Senior Change Manager to join the B&EUT Change and Engagement team. This is an exciting opportunity as you will be supporting the wide portfolio of programmes and projects within the Programme & Project Delivery Department which in turn is playing a key role within Technology in supporting the significant BBC Transformation agenda. Working as part of a small Change team consisting of 2 Lead and 2 Senior Change Managers and a Project Co-ordinator, you will report to the Head of Change and Engagement. You will support the successful delivery of projects within the B&EUT portfolio by ensuring business readiness and capability to adopt required changes and to realise identified benefits., You will use your excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing and facilitation skills in order to create and deliver compelling change stories and to build credibility with a large range of stakeholders as well as taking the lead on business change activity working alongside our project managers to develop change, communication, engagement and benefits realisation plans for your projects /initiatives and then to manage and organise a busy workload to implement these plans including:
- Benefits identification, mapping and tracking
- Stakeholder identification and mapping
- Change impact assessments
- Training need analysis and training plans
- Development and delivery of comms messaging linked to benefits
- Business readiness assessments
- Lessons learned reviews
Alongside your passion for change management, you will have a recognised change management qualification e.g. one of Change Management Institute ACMF (Accredited Change Manager Foundation); MSP Practitioner; APMG - Change Management; Prosci ADKAR Model or equivalent. - You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills which you will have put into good stead as part of your experience of managing and influencing stakeholders in a project environment
- You will have a focus on benefits management and experience of supporting stakeholders to identify, track and realise benefits.
- Experience of leading change on a technology project would be a bonus although not essential
- You thrive in a collaborative and supportive team environment that supports your ability to work under your own steam coupled with a proactive approach and a desire for continuous improvement
