Full Job Description
- Supervise and engage with children in a nursery setting, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Communicate effectively with children, providing guidance and support to encourage positive behaviour.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring that all toys are equipment are safe and suitable for use.
- Manage daily routines including meals, naps, and playtime while maintaining a structured environment.
- Foster positive relationships with children and their families through regular communication and updates on their child's progress.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area to ensure a safe play environment.
- Demonstrate leadership skills by guiding junior staff or volunteers in childcare practices.
- To carry out role of Designated Safeguarding Person in the absence of the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
- To work alongside the senior management team to uphold compliance to OFSTED standards.
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Senior Childcare Practitioner to join our team. The Ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the skills necessary to create a safe, engaging and educational environment. This role involves managing daily activities, providing care and fostering the development of children in a nursery setting.
