Full Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Children's Centre Worker to join our Team of Children's Centre's in the East of the County. The team are responsible for working with children aged 0-5 years and their families/carers who attend the children centre / family hub; ensuring their developmental needs are met.

In this role, you will take the lead in an area of learning and development across the children's centre / family hub which is overseen by the Family Wellbeing Intervention Team Leader., Prioritising the child's voice, planning and evaluating groups/creches and understand how children learn,
Planning activities and groups to be shared on social media platforms to support home learning
Working as a team in a supportive environment, where children and families attend,
Working in partnership with parents and carers to offer an accessible and welcoming environment,
Working as part of the Family Wellbeing team, partner agencies and community groups,
Supporting the quality of the Children's Centres / Family Hubs,
Supporting the parenting team with creches.

If you have previous experience working in busy childcare environments, providing welcoming and supportive care for children and families, we would like to hear from you!, This position is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Valid driving licence and own transport, or be able to provide alternative, suitable method of travel is an essential condition for this role.

About You

You will have experience of capturing the child's voice, delivering a range of child development activities which will include targeted and universal services to ensure access for all.

This role is to work with the Family Wellbeing Intervention Team Leader, other Senior Children's Centre Workers and Children's Centre Workers. To support this work, we are looking for someone who;

Has exceptional skills in working with children and families,
Is able to create a safe, warm and caring learning environment, both indoors and outdoors, which will inspire children to unlock their full potential,
Is able to work as a team to plan groups, events and creches, deliver and evaluate high quality care, education and learning experiences for children
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about giving children and young people the best start in life,and who possesses the following skills and experience:

Essential Criteria:

Relevant Level 3 Early Years / Youth qualification essential
Maths and English GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent. (or must be prepared to work towards this within 12 months of start date)
Experience of working with children and their families.
Understanding how early intervention can support child development., Disability Confident
