Full Job Description
As a Senior Civil Engineer (Capital Engineering) you'll be responsible for:
Build and apply extensive domain and technical knowledge for design intent, as-built-drawings, and performance through life for engineered structures
Interpret and deliver the requirements of complex and high-profile tasks, and make evidence based professional engineering decisions to solve technical problems within area of responsibility
Identify and escalate business risk arising from condition of engineered structures and follow up on actions
Demonstrate adherence to company requirements and relevant technical standards and advise others on compliance
Carry out regular inspections, identifying shortfalls and issues
Carry out structural and condition surveys and delivering clear technical reports on the findings and recommendations
Prepare drawings, information, and designs to allow a contractor to carry out tasks and projects
Carry out all relevant duties in relation to CDM 2015
Minimum, Degree in Civil Engineering or related subject with suitable additional experience to Incorporated Engineer equivalent level
Membership of a relevant engineering institution
Previous experience of seismic assessment, structural inspections, structural repair systems, Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role and be willing and able to work in designated areas.
AWE is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer (Capital Engineering). Package: £47,690 - £70,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience), 9-day working fortnight - meaning you get every other Friday off work.
In addition, 208 hours of holiday each year (equal to at least 25 days leave) plus Bank Holidays.
